El Nido has been identified as a priority spot endorsed by the Philippines Medical Travel and Wellness Tourism Program, a joint initiative of the Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Tourism (DOT), signifying a commitment to developing comprehensive healthcare services for both travelers and the local community.
“By combining our expertise and resources, HMN and TKDC aspire to provide accessible and affordable healthcare solutions to the island resort community, including preventive care, primary care, diagnostics, and community wellness. Meanwhile, ‘Connected Care Circles’ gives high-quality, coordinated care throughout the patient journey. This integration focuses on healthcare providers working together to deliver patients’ holistic needs, including primary, multi-specialty, and specialized care.
“The prevailing challenge in many tourism areas in the country is the limited access to healthcare resources,” said Paolo Borromeo, President and CEO of AC Health, “We want to support the government’s efforts in promoting tourism by providing better healthcare services in these destination areas”.
Healthway Medical Network plans to open three more multi-specialty centers in Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao, expanding the Healthway Medical Network to 14 outpatient centers by the end of 2023.
