The Radiologic Technologist conducts standard radiographic examinations being performed at the assigned sections of the Radiology Department (rotational basis).
- Performs all diagnostic examinations and double checks the identification of the patient against the request provided;
- Explains the prescribed procedure to the patient (including what will be done and what is expected of them) prior to securing the consent of the patient.
- Performs radiologic exams such as X ray and fluoroscopy and can perform more complex procedure such as CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography
- Reports technical problem to the Chief Radiologic Technologist and records incident in the preventive maintenance logbook stating the date of the breakdown, the nature and intervention done.
- Positions and transfers patient comfortably.
- Accounts and endorse all accessories, films and other supplies used in the area to the incoming staff on duty.
- Complies with Personnel policies of the center on attendance, leaves, mandatory meetings, etc.
- Technologists are responsible for protecting themselves, patients and co-workers from unnecessary radiation.
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to government guidelines and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology and Registered Radiologic Technologist
- Satisfactory completion of formal Training for CT / MRI
- Must have at least 2 yrs of experience in a clinic or hospital setting
- Excellent computer skills related to basic office, record and verify, and EMR.
- Excellent patient care skills—must be able to assess patient’s needs and use good judgment for requesting medical attention.
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to assess different situations and implement suggestions or changes as needed
- Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectivity to patients, family, and significant others.
- Willing to be assigned in Healthway Cancer Care Hospital (South Union Drive, Arca South, Taguig City)
